Special Session Title: AI in Computational Pathology

This Special Session calls for and attract recent studies and research work focusing on interpretable AI methods to generate human readable explanations. Particularly those with the purpose to (i) improve the trust and reduce analysis bias, (ii) stimulate discussion on the system designs, and (iii) use and evaluate novel explainable AI for improving the accuracy of pathology workflows for disease diagnostic and prognostic. We invite researchers working on practical use-cases of trustworthy AI models that discuss adding a layer of interpretability and trust to powerful algorithms, such as neural networks and ensemble methods for delivering near real-time intelligence.

Explainable AI for whole slide image (WSI) analysis

Advanced AI for WSIs Registration

AI-based systems using human-interpretable image features (HIFs) for improved clinical outcomes

Detection and discovery of predictive and prognostic tissue biomarkers

Histopathologic biomarker assessment using advanced AI systems for accurate personalized medicine.

AI-assisted computational pathology for cancer diagnosis

Immunohistochemistry scoring.

Paper submission deadline: 28 Novmber 2021

Acceptance notification: 15 December 2021

Submission of camera ready: 30 December 2021

Registration: 30 December 2021

Paper Submission: Authors are invited to submit original research contributions not concurrently submitted elsewhere (Submission system). Normal length papers should be 8-10 pages, formatted in Springer’s single column format (http://www.icbiit.com/downloads/Templates.zip).

Submitted papers will be refereed by at least two reviewers for quality, correctness, originality, and relevance. Notification and reviews will be communicated via email.

Proceedings: All accepted conference papers will be presented at the conference and included in the published proceedings.

SCIE Journal Publication: The papers presented at the conference will be recommended for appropriate SCIE index journal after revision.
